Heathen Dance at Hamsa - 2nd Fridays
Fri, May 10th from 6:30pm - 8:30pm

Heathen Dance is simply the original form of dancing. There is no right way, just feeling the music and allowing your body to explore movement with it. Everyone should feel comfortable dancing, it’s an innate expression we all have the ability to enjoy. There will be a little guidance during but always the freedom to go into your own experience. All ages including children are welcome. Optional Healthy Vegetarian Potluck - remember, potlucks only work when you bring something good to share, especially if you wanna partake int the potluck...This is a once a month community dance, so let's share some good eats! The Ways of Enchantment: Create Magic Through Frame Drumming 
Sun, May 19th 12:30pm - 2:30pm 

This is a workshop for women who want to learn frame drum technique and come into alignment with the ancient lineage of the Temple Priestess. We will meet for 2 hours to drum and vision journey … and of course cast our magic spells! If you have one, bring at least a 14-inch, non-jingled tar (frame drum with no jingles, no tambourines). If you need a drum provided, please let me know upon registration. Also, Native American style drums are not appropriate for this class.

Kirtan with Bhagavan Das

Join Bhagavan Das, Nico and Jitendra for a special night of Ecstatic Kirtan. 
Bhagavan Das is a bhakti yogi, a shakta tantra adept, and kirtan singer. As a young man he was one of the first Western initiates/devotees of the late Hindu holy man Neem Karoli Baba, as well as the first American to meet Kalu Rinpoche of the Shangpa Kargyupas lineage. During the almost seven years he spent as a wandering ascetic in India, Nepal and Sri Lanka he received numerous initiations and teachings from living saints and sages including A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, Swami Chaitanya Prakashananda Tirtha, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, Sri Anandamoyi Ma, and more.
